Today (17th) is the Double Ninth Festival. Apart from our ancestors, we may use this festival to commemorate the dead pets. "Hong Kong 01" interviewed pet to nature, the first pet company in Asia to promote biocremation service. The chief executive said that the biggest difference between biocremation service and traditional traditional hospice service is that the process of pet decomposition is slow. It is hoped that through new technology, pet owners can more calmly accept this cruel reality when facing the situation of parting.
The pet hospice process should not come and go in a hurry.Interviewing with HK01, Mathew, the head of Pet To Nature, said that his pet products company, which has been running for about 10 years, had an opportunity to know pet hospice industry when his dog died. He said: "I always think it's too fast to say goodbye to a person or pet by cremation, even people have two weeks to prepare coffins and funerals. Since we treat the pets as family members, why send them away in such a hurry?
Mathew believes that the way to say goodbye to pets should not be too hurried. In fact, we can spend more time with them and let ourselves settle. (Pet To Nature)
Mathew said that biocremation was practiced in foreign countries as early as 2005, and the rate of biocremation is faster than the decomposition rate of burial and is environmentally friendly. (Pet To Nature)
As for the procedure of biocremation, Mathew said that he will receive the pet remains three hours after the pet’s death, and then wash them, disinfect them, and then refrigerate them. After completing all the procedure, I will communicate with the owner if they want to add some funeral items for the pet, and then will ask the pet groomer to tidy up the remains of the pet, so that they will have perfect journey for the last time."
A procedure between biocremation and cremation is quite similar, that is, the owner can send the pet from the conveyor belt to the biocremation machine according to the system through the glass door.
The owner can send the pet from the conveyor belt to the biocremation machine through the glass door according to the system. After the biocremation process is completed, the ashes of the pet will be obtained. (Pet To Nature)
In the future, the biocremation service will be expanded to all over the world
The calculation between pet biocremation and cremation service fees is roughly the same. Both are based on the weight of the pet. The fee for pets under 5 kg is 1,800 HK$, and an additional 500 HK$ for each weight of 5 kg. When the pet owner determines to entrust Pet To Nature service, they will arrange for the driver to arrive at the residence within 3 hours, pick up the pet, and return to the company to weigh, clean and freeze, and wait for the owner to arrange a date and time to send off the pet.
Mathew said that biocrtemation services have become more popular in Hong Kong in recent years. It becomes more and more popular, Mathew believe that biocremation will replace cremation in Hong Kong and all over the world in the future. Same as burial, Pet To Nature will also begin to expand to Taiwan, Philippines, and Singapore in the future. I hope that more people can choose this service."
