As for the procedure of biocremation, Mathew said that he will receive the pet remains three hours after the pet’s death, and then wash them, disinfect them, and then refrigerate them. The calculation between pet biocremation and cremation service fees is roughly the same. Both are based on the weight of the pet. The fee for pets under 5 kg is 1,800 HK$, and an additional 500 HK$ for each weight of 5 kg. Mathew said that biocrtemation services have become more popular in Hong Kong in recent years. It becomes more and more popular, Mathew believe that biocremation will replace cremation in Hong Kong and all over the world in the future.
